Gizmonic Institute: Operation Double 007
No, this is not a long-forgotten James Bond movie. Operation Double 007 is actually a terrible knock-off that should have been banished from screens forever. But much like the kids on Degrassi, the gang at MST3K "goes there," so tonight folks will be able to watch the 1967 flick in all its travesty. The movie's plot is simple enough: A plastic surgeon (played by Sean Connery's real-life little brother Neil) is recruited by a secret spy agency, where his sibling is also an agent. His mission: to stop some bad guy's attempt to cause people harm using radioactive rugs. Thankfully, you'll be able to watch this thing with beer. So order up a few (it is screening during happy hour, after all) and enjoy this craptastic cinema turd for free. Gizmonic Institute was previously a regular event at the Turf Club, but tonight will be the organization's premiere screening at its new digs in Minneapolis.
