For the next 11 days, the Bryant-Lake Bowl's theater stage will host a series of experimental works in film, sound art, dance, and performance. FOCO, the brainchild of multidisciplinary artist Jaime Carrera, is probably the only avant-garde festival to be found in the Twin Cities this summer, and should make for a lot of weird, challenging, and original fun. Highlights include music from noise artist Little Foot with space-rockers Thunderbolt Pagoda on Friday; modern dance with Hannah Kramer featuring special guests Emily Johnson and Linnea Mohn (Rogue Valley) on Saturday; experimental films on Sunday, including Broseph, a new piece from Carrera; and the premiere of "EPICBITCH," a new piece by Carrera and Kristin Van Loon on Sunday, August 11. Check bryantlakebowl.com for a complete schedule of each night's happenings. (Pictured: "EPICBITCH," image from Jaime Carrera)
Thursdays-Sundays, 6 p.m. Starts: Aug. 1. Continues through Aug. 11, 2013
