Fight Night: Halloween Edition

Oct. 28
9:30 p.m.
$10-$15 sliding scale
Holiday, Theater

This weekend at Bryant-Lake Bowl, heroes and villains won’t be dishing out tricks or treats. Instead, they’ll be brawling with swords, axes, knives, bricks, and anything else that isn’t nailed down. Theatre Coup d’Etat will join with Adam Scarpello from Staged Steel Armory for a special variety show entirely based on combat. The evening will include politicians (with two weeks until Election Day, we know of at least two people likely to show up and throw down), fictional characters like Macbeth and Darth Vader, and historical figures standing toe-to-toe onstage. The night isn’t just about bloodshed, however, as audience participation and witty rapport with the referee will ensure that you’ll laugh, cheer, and embrace your primal urge to hit something. Bring your helmet and a thirst for hilarious violence, because this Halloween is going to kick ass — literally.
