The colder months are fast approaching, and with them bring the need to layer our clothing and accessorize with warm gloves, hats, and scarves. You'll be able to stock up on such items at this weekend's Fiber Fair, a three-day festival featuring wearable designs from local artists. There will also be yearlong necessities like rugs, place mats, napkins, and bags for sale. Looking to start a knitting project of your own? Then be sure to pick up some hand-spun yarn. All proceeds from the event benefit local artists and the Weavers Guild of Minnesota, a nonprofit organization that has been promoting fiber art since the 1940s.
Fri., Nov. 9, 10 a.m.-7 p.m.; Sat., Nov. 10, 10 a.m.-5 p.m.; Sun., Nov. 11, 12-4 p.m., 2012
