One of the signs that the season is changing in the Twin Cities is the return of Fashion Week MN. The biannual event helps folks stay fashionable with 11 days of glam parties, shopping events, and runway shows. Things kick off Thursday, September 15, with #Minnstafashion at the W Minneapolis. Sip cocktails, check out hair demonstrations, and take in looks from student and up-and-coming designers. Sunday’s I AM Inspired, part of Sarah Edwards’ feel-good I AM series, will celebrate muses and other things that bring about creative sparks, as Caitlin Karolczak, bluebird boutique, Hazel & Rose, My Sister, and others will showcase artwork and threads. Speaking of inspiration, Project Runway alum Danielle Everine will present new clothing items, all connected through the idea of Matryoshka nesting dolls and their Japanese predecessors Daruma dolls, on Tuesday, September 20. Other events of note — and there are many — include Homme Menswear Fashion Show (Wednesday, September 21), Envision’s 10th anniversary show (Saturday, September 24), and a Minneapolis craft market (Sunday, September 25).
