If you're looking for an entertaining fashion event that is far from intimidating, be sure to check out Envision: Artopia, one of the most accessible—not to mention biggest—celebrations during Spring MNFashion Week. Here, it doesn't matter if you are a fashion veteran with a front-row seat or a first-timer looking to get your well-manicured feet wet, the all-encompassing art, music, and fashion party has something for everyone. Unlike other fashion shows, this party adds a taste of spontaneity by including two collaborative live paintings created onsite by artists Shawn Dalsen and Matt McGorry from Rogue Citizen, and Adonis Saverson and Jesse Andrew Golfis. The show also features an exhibit by local artist Greg Gossel, who is known for his intricate pop-culture imagery. On the runway, models will show off spring styles from several local designers and boutiques including Amanda Christine, Arwyn Birch, Carmichael Claith, Cliché, Cece Vang, Jenny Carle, and Karma, Kjurek. If you're looking to support a good cause while soaking up the energy, a silent auction with tons of local goods will be on display, with 100 percent of the proceeds benefitting the Young Survival Coalition, a breast cancer research fund. Doors open at 8 p.m. with wine and hors d'oeuvres for VIP ticket holders; general admission begins at 9 p.m. If you're not partied out by midnight, get your hand stamped on the way out and head over to the after-party at the Lounge Nightclub, where music by DJ Shiek will continue until 2 a.m. Tickets are available online at www.vitalculture.com.
