Electric Arc Radio Show

Can a radio show be a radio show if it's not on the radio? If you're Electric Arc Radio, the answer is a resounding yes. A theatrical performance in the style of a radio show, each episode focuses on the lives of four Minneapolis Uptowners (all writers) who share a house. Their punk poet neighbor and Alan Greenspan (who lives in a tree house in the backyard) add to the overall random ambiance. Each week involves a theme that usually leads to wacky antics and a musical guest (this week it's Little Man) who leads to...musical antics. While the show obviously draws stylistic inspiration from Garrison Keillor's A Prairie Home Companion, people who have never been to Lake Wobegon will still be entertained. Also, keep an ear out in January, when Electric Arc Radio Show actually becomes a radio show-- it will air Sunday nights on the Current.
Sat., Sept. 15, 8 p.m.
