Where do you know Eddie Griffin from? Maybe you remember him from his cinematic heyday in the late '90s and early '00s, when he starred in popular films John Q, Undercover Brother, and Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo. Not ringing a bell? How about Beethoven's Big Break, the sixth film in the St. Bernard-starring children's series? Nah, nobody saw that. Surely you remember his 2007 charity race in which he smashed the crap out of a Ferrari. Yeah, everybody remembers that. The point is, Griffin's film career might be limited in its appeal, but his frenetic standup is not. Griffin ranked No. 62 on Comedy Central's list of the 100 greatest standup comedians of all time, which puts him in the elite company of comics Dave Attell, Ellen DeGeneres, and Billy Crystal. That's not a bad list to be on. Our only hope for the night is that Griffin has determined that enough time has elapsed since Michael Jackson's death to perform his impression of the pop star (YouTube it if you haven't seen it).
