Eat: An Exhibition by Wing Young Huie
From fast food to organic, imported to locally grown, processed to homemade, what and how we eat plays a huge role in our identity, both as individuals and in a regional sense. This complex relationship will be explored in "Eat," Wing Young Huie's latest photographic exhibition. The gallery show will feature new work in addition to images from past projects. Pieces on display include an east St. Paul family wolfing down a meal together, a duo chopping a plate of veggies in a sparsely decorated kitchen, and racially charged signage from decades past. Friday's reception will feature a potluck dinner where everyone is invited to contribute and dine (email firstname.lastname@example.org to RSVP). Saturday and Sunday's open house will welcome guests to enjoy the exhibition with hot cider and cookies. Huie will also be celebrating the publication of a zine catalog.
