Drake Witham

Drake Witham can come off as a bit of smart aleck. "I try and get away with that a little bit," he admits. "I think it can be funny. Roast-style humor is funny to me, but it's hard to pull that off and still have people rooting for you at the same time." Instead of making his set entirely like that, he's taken that style of humor and developed a show that also combines his interest in sports. "I interview sports fans. It's sort of like sports Jeopardy! and Inside the Actor's Studio." Comedian Billy Gardell, a native of Pittsburgh, was an early guest. "He's a big Steelers fan, so we get to find out how much of a Steeler fan he is, and at the same time roast him about the team. Gentle ribbing." Onstage, Witham is more likely to talk about the things going on in his life, like raising his 20-month-old son. "He's starting to get to that manipulation stage," he says. "The doctor said at two years, when he starts talking, to watch out for that. But he started talking at 18 months, so we're watching for it now. Sure enough, I'm losing chess matches to an 18-month old." It has been a bit more challenging than he realized. "I've been a stay-at-home dad for eight years, and it becomes much more difficult when you have a child." With Raleigh Weld. 18+.
