David Crowe lives in Seattle, but he was born in St. Paul. He went into comedy right after college. "I always wanted to do this," he explains. His only day job was doing office work on a cruise ship. Over the years, he has developed a knack for observational comedy with a twist. "I've got a new pro-cop rant," he says. "We live under the umbrella of police protection, yet we resent them because they tell on us when we speed. I like talking about it, because it's not a pot joke." He also has bit about the Special Olympics. "It gets people really uncomfortable at first, but then I win them over." It's not easy, of course, and Crowe works hard to make sure his bits work. "I get jealous watching guys like Patton Oswalt," he confesses. "I'm not watching him start from an idea and taking it all the way through, but it looks so easy when he finishes. You go, 'Of course! Why would you do it any other way? It's so obvious.'"
