Sure, some people might be a little burned out on spooky events now that Halloween is over. However, Crypticon is not for casual fans of creepy. Held most years the weekend after Halloween, this festival is intended for the die-hard lovers of dark fare. For the next three days attendees will be able to watch horror makeup demonstrations from heavy-hitters in the film industry, meet actors from popular shows and movies, and gain insight from directors and writers in the genre. Guests include Jeffrey Combs (a.k.a. Herbert West in Re-Animator), makeup artist Tom Sullivan (Evil Dead, Evil Dead 2), and William B. Davis (the Smoking Man on The X-Files). Throughout the weekend, indie horror and sci-fi films will be screening, and evenings are capped each night with concerts featuring hardcore acts like Mushroomhead, Black Flood Diesel, and Tennessee Murder Club. Fri., Nov. 5, 5 p.m.-1 a.m.; Sat., Nov. 6, 11-1 a.m.; Sun., Nov. 7, 12-5 p.m., 2010
