Allegra Lingo weaves music from Aaron Copland with stories of her domestic life, her fixation on writing, and a retelling of the myth of Daedalus and Icarus. At first it feels as though the seams are going to burst, but Lingo nicely rides the tides of Copland, revealing bits of herself as she goes, and finally working up to an understated but effective point. The one-person semi-confessional is either a staple or a tired leftover, depending on one's point of view, but Lingo is at the top of her game here. After all, a passion for art (and existence) isn't passé.
