Every Mon., Tue., Wed., Thu., and Fri. from June 30-Sept. 2
Luke Erickson takes viewers to the banks of two great rivers in "Confluence: Geography, History, and Culture at the Intersection of the Mississippi and Minnesota Rivers," an exhibition at the Marsden/Gustafson Gallery at IFP MN. The show features Erickson's photography, which acts as a clarion call to observe and protect Minnesota's great watersheds. The works take a metaphorical vantage point, exploring the Minnesota and Mississippi Rivers within context of the American West and the American dream, while also investigating the exploitation of natural resources and the impact suburban expansion has had on environments. Erickson received a Minnesota State Arts Board Grant in 2015. There will be an opening reception from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday, June 30.
