The Soap Factory's latest exhibit, "The Common Room," continues the space's summer of experimental performances, art, and activities. Blurring the boundaries between artists, curators, and audiences, the event will feature special happenings two nights a week for the duration of its run. Opening celebrations Wednesday, August 4, include a gift exchange. Participants can bring offerings that are homemade, found objects, or even picked up from a store on the way over to bestow on other guests. On Friday, August 6, fans of city-wide challenges should meet up as the Soap turns the town into a giant game of Risk. Which region will you be in alliance with? Other cool events include an outdoor tour with stops along the way highlighting secret locations and special performances (August 13), and an evening where guests will play with Chatroulette (or something similar to the online chat forum), an anonymous video chat application (needless to say, this one might get a little dirty, so it's adults-only). Wednesdays, Fridays, 7-10 p.m. Starts: Aug. 4. Continues through Aug. 27, 2010
