Chromeo's hookup humor and brainy grooves — bedecked with synth clouds, swerving guitar, and bubbly bass — have kept the Montreal electro-pop duo charming for more than a decade. Since debuting with the kinetic "You're So Gangsta" in 2002, David Macklovitch (Dave 1) and Patrick Gemayel (P-Thugg) have been more consistent than prolific. But that comes in handy whenever a new album rolls around, because their blissed-out sound, once established, is one you don't want interrupted. Their fourth LP, bravely titled White Women, is out May 12 and features singles like the Toro y Moi assist "Come Alive" and the cut-to-the-chase "Over Your Shoulder" ("That one's ass is leaner, this one's like Serena").
