Chris Yon and Taryn Griggs have curated this year's Choreographers' Evening, which is reason enough to go. They imagined the performance lineup as a selection of songs for a mix tape, each carefully selected for someone special. The choices these two droll brainiacs have made include samples from just about every corner of the Twin Cities' eclectic dance community. The program includes works by veterans Morgan Thorson, Laurie Van Wieren, Joanne Spencer, and Otto Ramstad; rising stars Angharad Davies, Theresa Madaus, and Kaleena Miller; and fresh tracks from newbies Jes Nelson, Yeniel "Chini" Perez, and Juan Aldape. "We are excited by these three artists we'd never seen before who are so very different from each other and everything else in the program. It's going to be a really cool show," says Yon. It's definitely the hot ticket for Black Friday.
