While beer is being widely celebrated this month, this event at the Food Building is all about cheese. Local cheese, that is. Guests will be able to sample Minnesota varieties from Shepherd’s Way Farms, Alemar Cheese, the Lone Grazer Creamery, Eichtens Cheese & Bison, Redhead Creamery LLC, and Caves of Faribault via a giant cheeseboard. Or go with something that sticks to your ribs and warms you up in this fall weather, such as mac ’n’ cheese made with Dumpling & Strand cheese, Noodlers at Large noodles, garlic sausage from Red Table Meat Co., and fermented kraut from GYST Fermentation Bar. You can also dine on aligot potatoes (cheese plus mashed potatoes), raclette (a melting cheese made from cow’s milk), cheese biscuits, and pastries. Wash it down with beer from Indeed Brewing Company and the Draft Horse.
