The Cat Video Festival was supposed to die in 2016, but the cutest gathering of fans of feline films seems to have… nine lives (we are so, so sorry for that joke). Since taking the world by storm back in 2012, the Walker Art Center’s Internet Cat Video Festival has grown exponentially every summer, with more than 13,000 crazy cat people converging on CHS Field last year. Several months ago, the Walker announced plans to discontinue the festival (or, at least, their involvement with it) in order to focus on new artistic endeavors. The cats could not be silenced, however, as the St. Paul Saints and myTalk 107.1 announced that they would take the reins for 2016 and keep the tradition alive. Whether they’re cute, crazy, devious, or lazy, there’s sure to be a video that will make the hair on your back stand up (sorry again). There will also be a litter of cat-related activities and music to enjoy. For more info, visit catfestmn.com.
