There's something oddly gratifying about successfully completing trivial tasks while buzzed. This Saturday, tipsy folks will be able to strive for this lofty goal as Buxtahooda returns for another year. The northeast Minneapolis bar crawl invites costumed teams of five to visit establishments that will be offering games, challenges, and, of course, beer. Check-in is at 1 p.m. at the Moose on Monroe. From there, groups will travel to destinations that include the 331 Club, Lush, Spring Street Tavern, Mayslack's, and the Vegas Lounge (yes, there will be a shuttle bus running from the Moose to the 331 all day to keep things moving along, should you need a break from walking). At each spot, teammates will test their skills at meaningless (and really fun) games, including beer pong, corn-hole tosses, ladder golf, kiddie basketball hoop shooting, putt-putt, and other familiar bar challenges. The winners at the end of the day will take home cash and bestow a donation to the charity of their choice. Prizes will also be awarded to the best costumes of the competition, so make sure you look fancy and/or flashy. Past looks have included teams dressed up as Mortal Kombat characters, the Scooby Doo crew, and the Village People. For more info and full itinerary, visit buxtahooda.com. 21+.
