Buck Hill's New Years Eve Bash
This evening, Buck Hill will be celebrating New Year's Eve with skiing, snowboarding, tubing, live music, magic, and a midnight fireworks display. This family-friendly event will also host upbeat local cover band Rhythm Junkies along with magicians Kevin Hall, who competed on America's Got Talent, and Erik the Juggling Magician, who is known for his fire-throwing skills. Kids can enjoy glitter glam hair-dos while adults can see what the New Year will bring with tarot card readings. A secret snowboarding Santa will be out on the slopes to hand out prizes, and two competitions will take place throughout the evening: the Zombie Boardshop Big Air Comp, which will test jumping skills and tricks, and Gabe's Ski Race, which will test speed. The evening will end with midnight fireworks lighting up the slope. "This party celebrates winter in Minnesota," says Jessica Stone, marketing director at Buck Hill. "It appeals to all ages, and you don't have to ski or snowboard—just come watch the bands and entertainment free of charge. It's a big winter wonderland."
