Bruce Molsky & Ale Möller
This rare collaboration of virtuoso musicians from opposite sides of the Atlantic represents multiple musical traditions. Bronx native Bruce Molsky and Sweden's Ale Möller are well-versed in stuff ranging from the Smoky Mountains to the Greek Isles and beyond. Molsky, a masterful fiddler who also shines on guitar and banjo, is an influential authority on Appalachian roots, with interests straying as far afield as Africa, Scandinavia, and the British Isles. Möller plays mandola, bouzouki, dulcimer, flutes, fiddle, and accordion, among other instruments. With roots in jazz and rock, Möller became fascinated with Greek rembétika and actually moved to Greece for a while to play it. Eventually he decided to explore traditional Scandinavian music and subsequently has been a key member of several prominent groups, including Frifot and Filarfolket. Expect Molsky and Möller to deliver no less than the dazzling diversity of the world.
