Every Sunday night, the funniest, weirdest, and, occasionally, the most confusing comedy show in town takes place at Universe Games. Created by local comedians Turner Barrowman and Collin Klug, Boy Kisses Comedy Showcase is a weekly rotation of sketch, characters, music, and standup comedy featuring some of the area's best performers. Since its inception this past October, the free showcase has been steadily growing its audience, becoming the can't-miss comedy event of the week. "We wanted to put together a show that had everything we love," says Barrowman. "We've got comedy, a DJ who plays people on and off stage, and we're surrounded by Settlers of Catan and tons of candy." Adds Klug, "It's like if you asked a lonely 12-year-old boy what he would want to do on a Sunday night." While the show continues to be free, the small room and growing reputation mean that anyone looking to be Boy Kissed should plan to show up early. "I'll fight anyone who says that their show is better than ours. Anyone," says Barrowman. Comedy, kissing, and fighting? You aren't going to find that anywhere else.
