Black Hearts Ball
While the recent news of MNfashion disbanding is disheartening, it also left a big question up in the air: What will become of Minneapolis-St. Paul Fashion Week? While the future of that festival is still undetermined, it's nice to see that the Twin Cities fashion community continues to thrive, and still knows how to throw a good party. This Valentine's Day, Black Hearts Ball will sing a love song to the local scene with an elevated cocktail party sure to make fashionistas swoon. During the event, designers will be paired with opera singers, theater actors, and classical musicians for mini-performances. These talents won't be going down a runway or singing onstage, however. Instead, they will be showcased in artfully arranged "exhibits" (imagine a Vogue photoshoot mashed up with a Bell Museum diorama). Participating designers include Carly Schoen, Danielle Everine, Rachel Roff, Laura Fulk, Sarah Holm, and Tim and Thom Navarro. Black and white semi-formal attire is the requested look for guests at the event, and appetizers, desserts, and drinks will be served. For tickets and more info, visit www.blackheartsball.com. 21+.
