Bill Cosby

Seems every recent generation has a Bill Cosby—literally. Folks growing up in the '60s knew him as the co-star of the I-Spy TV series. If you came of age in the '70s, you know the Electric Company and Fat Albert Bill Cosby. The '80s? Do you need to ask? The Cosby Show was of course the biggest sitcom of its day. In the '90s, a still-younger generation got to know Cos via Little Bill on the preschool-geared Nick Jr. cable network. We all know standup Bill Cosby, certainly, though some may be more familiar with that aspect of his career than others. Over the years, he has added author, musician, TV producer, and activist to his list of accomplishments. However, it is his standup comedy that gives you the best look at this show business veteran. His easygoing manner and storytelling style have influenced generations of comics.
