Beyond Pure: Sounds of (R)evolution
Held on the fourth Tuesday of every month, the Beyond the Pure Reading Series invites multi-disciplinary artists to share stories, spoken word, music, and poetry on various topics. The event rotates between three evenings: Queer Voices, featuring LGBT voices; Color Theory for the 21st Century, featuring artists of color; and Sounds of the (R)evolution, which focuses on positive changes in communities. Tonight, folks from different walks of life and experiences will share their feelings on death, rebirth, spirits, memory, and, yes, even zombies. Participants include Sierra DeMulder, Khary Jackson, Tou Saiko Lee, and Mankwe Ndosi. The event is hosted by Guante (pictured).
