Benefit for Kyle Sturges
This last-minute show is being organized as a fundraiser for the family of Kyle Sturges, a young man from southern Minnesota who was in a dirt bike accident that has left him in a coma for the past few weeks. The Sturges have strong ties to the local music community, and their friends are quickly assembling to help raise money for Kyle's medical expenses. The benefit concert at Nick and Eddie will feature performances by electro-pop heavyweights Solid Gold (pictured) and Lookbook, as well as opening sets by indie rockers Speed's the Name and the Desert Vest—all told, a lineup that packs quite the punch for the price tag. There will also be a silent auction with art work from local artists, a private chef's dinner, rock memorabilia, gift cards, and more, and all of the proceeds go directly toward alleviating the financial pressure on the Sturges family.
