Beer Dabbler Winter Carnival
Cold beer outdoors on a cold winter's day? Is the Beer Dabbler crazy? "Different, true. Risky, true. But very Minnesotan," states organizer Matt Kenevan. "The natives love beer and winter. And if they don't love winter, but are here anyway? Then this is something much more lively and fun to do than sit inside and wait for summer to come around again." This year the Beer Dabbler has moved from Mears Park to bigger digs at the nearby St. Paul Farmers' Market. That means more room for fun and beer, of course. During the celebration you'll be able to sample some 200 brews from more than 60 local, national, and international brewers. Musical entertainment will be provided by Pink Mink, Romantica, and Jonny James and the Hall of Fames. Or, if you'd rather dance to tunes that only you can hear, shake your booty at the Leinenkugel's Silent Disco. If you want to eat (always a good idea at a beer fest), treat yourself to the wares of Fork in the Road, Simply Steve's, Gastro Truck, Potter's Pasties, and Stanley's Northeast. Those who make their own beer can also win great prizes by entering the homebrew contest. For tickets and more information, visit www.thebeerdabbler.com. 21+
