Bark at Art… and purrr
It's not every day that pet owners can bring their furry friends to an art party, but Gallery 122's latest show welcomes folks to do just that. Here, animal-inspired art will be on the walls — including pieces from Amy Rice, Brian Frink, Erik Hamline, Jason Craig, Pamela Gaard, Robert Dougherty, Sarah Thornton, and Toni Dachis — and 50 percent of the art sale will benefit the Pet Project of MN. The opening reception from 7 to 10 p.m. Friday, July 26, should be an especially good time, as selections from last summer's Internet Cat Video Festival at the Walker Art Center will be screened. Guests are encouraged to bring unopened bags of kitty litter and animal chow to donate as well. (Pictured: The Sphynx, by Glennis Siverson)
Mondays-Saturdays. Starts: July 26. Continues through Sept. 14, 2013
