Ballet of the Dolls: Cinderfella
Myron Johnson's "Cinderfella" takes its inspiration from the 1960 Jerry Lewis film, offering a new twist on that old "someday my prince will come" refrain. Poor Fella inhabits a Hollywood mansion with his wicked Godfather (played with malicious glee by Johnson) and two evil sons. Then Princess Charming trips blithely into Beverly Hills, stirring up a totally unexpected Happily Ever After. Jazz and lounge music from the '60s accompanies the Dolls on their journey from the ridiculous to the sublimely outlandish. It's definitely a holiday event that won't rot your teeth.
Dec. 21-23, 8 p.m.; Sundays, 7 p.m. Starts: Dec. 21. Continues through Dec. 26, 2010
