Bad Santa

Bad Santa is a movie featuring a neglected child, an end-game alcoholic, and an impressive amount of foul language. It's also an anti-holiday flick that manages to have a bit of a heartwarming message despite being far from family-friendly. Billy Bob Thornton plays Willie T. Stokes, a hard-drinking mall Santa who plots to rob a department store with his midget friend, employed as his elf. Their yearly scam becomes increasingly shaky as Willie's drinking worsens, and a mall cop wises up to their scheme and demands to be let in on the profit. Meanwhile, Willie starts dating a bartender (Lauren Graham) and semi-mentors a young boy who he toughens up (and also robs). Throw in murder by van, a failed suicide attempt, Chopin's "Nocturne Op. 9 No. 2," and a plot twist described as "more fucked-up than Rodney King," and you've got a movie that should probably never be viewed with the whole family (that's why it's screening in a bar). 21+.
