This weekend, artists working in the Northrup King Studios will open their doors and invite folks inside to take a peek at what they’ve been up to. That means over 250 artists — ceramicists, glass blowers, jewelry designers, painters — will be on hand for special gallery shows, sales, demonstrations, and more. Chat with artists, watch live mural painting by Jane Elias on Saturday (or join her and help out), and listen to live music from Mare Lennon. Food trucks will also be stopping by to keep you hungry for art rather than literally hungry. For more info, visit www.northrupkingbuilding.com.

PROMOTIONAL EVENT DESCRIPTION Art Attack 2016 - It's About Peace and Love!!

Join the artists at the Northrup King Building for a fun filled weekend and an opportunity to browse and buy art from the private studios of over 250 painters, sculptors, printmakers, photographers, jewelers, clothing designers, textile artists, glass blowers, ceramists, custom furniture makers and more.
Promote Peace and Love through interactive art activities, writing and music.
Stop by the Third Floor Gallery (#332) throughout the weekend and participate in the Global Thoughts on Peace and Love. People of all ages and backgrounds will have a chance to write their thoughts on what Peace and/or Love mean to them and to have it assembled into an installation to share with others.
Saturday, November 5th the Northrup King Building is joining forces with Jane Elias from Simply Jane/Artable to create a large 1960’s style Peace and Love mural. We encourage you to participate in painting the mural or to paint your own 6” x 6” canvas and share the peace and love.   A live performance by musician, Mare Lennon, will bring us back to the music of the Beatles, Carol King and Joanie Mitchell.
Check out The LOVE MAP at Hedberg Maps. The LOVE MAP, the story of romance, its changes through time and its variations around the globe, is lovingly told in this lushly illustrated giant foldout map. The first 50 people to visit Hedberg Maps each day will receive a FREE Love Map.
Live music, art demonstrations and food trucks will be available throughout the weekend.
Free event, free parking, handicap accessible.
For more information contact Debbie Woodward at [email protected] or call (612) 363-5612.
