Anthony Bourdain, Andrew Zimmern

Anthony Bourdain, fresh off the successful launch of his new show, Parts Unknown, is traveling the country talking about guts and glory. When he stops by the State Theatre Saturday night, he'll be chatting with his fellow offal-eating television celebrity and former chef friend Andrew Zimmern. For his latest program, Bourdain has been to Myanmar and the Congo. Meanwhile, Zimmern has stayed closer to home while filming Bizarre Foods America. It's remarkable the two found the time to meet up. Bourdain vaulted to national attention with his groundbreaking book Kitchen Confidential, which revealed all manner of restaurant secrets. He's gone on to write for a wide variety of world-renowned publications, and author numerous books. Known for his caustic wit and shrewd observations, he has opinions that are many and strident. Zimmern, who used to helm the kitchen at Café Un Deux Trois, has since made a name for himself traveling the country and the world, educating viewers by eating along the way. A proponent for whole-animal appreciation and travel immersion, he'll try almost anything on camera (except, possibly, walnuts). Find out what other foods these culinary raconteurs won't touch during Saturday night's talk. To up the local foodie-swoon quotient for the evening, James Beard-nominated food writer Dara Moskowitz Grumdahl will moderate the conversation.
