Anthology Cabaret

Looking for some variety, but variety with substance? This Friday and Saturday, local performers come together for a little bit of everything at Anthology. Performers on the schedule include storyteller and Fringe alum Andre Heuer, who will be telling tales of his experiences working with the Center for Victims of Torture in Liberia, and his return home to Minnesota. Award-winning author Catherine Lundoff will share some of her most stimulating lesbian erotica. Standup comedian Tom Steffan will make you laugh, he was a semi-finalist in Acme’s 2003 Funniest Person in the Twin Cities, after all. Rounding out the evening will be singer/songwriter Raphael; avant-garde, jazz-inspired spoken-word poetry by Rush Merchant III; and a performance piece on mental illness by author and performer Alison Bergblom.
Fri., Dec. 5, 8 p.m.; Sat., Dec. 6, 8 p.m., 2008
