Andy Kindler is always up to something. Currently, he has a steady gig on the FOX animated series Bob's Burgers. "I'm a recurring character," he explains, then adds with a laugh, "but why should I soft-sell it?" He also made an appearance on Marc Maron's program on IFC this spring. "That was really great. We've been friends for a while, and I remember when he first did his podcast. Who had any way of knowing how everything would develop for him?" Kindler continues to amuse audiences with his critiques of the world of comedy, some of which he'll dole out on Twitter. "The last few days I've been good at reacting to the impulse to jump off the couch and tweet something, but I try to restrain it." Currently, Kindler is fascinated by Ricky Gervais. "I've kind of gotten obsessed with the way his personality has developed over the years. He was the original British Office guy, which I was thrilled with. Now half his tweets are about what an atheist he is, and the other half are claims that he doesn't care what people think of him." Another person Kindler has been watching with some interest, wondering why people are so drawn to him, is Jimmy Fallon. "He's always in a great mood and has this boyish enthusiasm for everything. What does that fulfill in people?" Kindler wonders. "I do this impression of him interviewing Stalin: 'Joe Stalin, you killed, like, 30 million people — that's crazy!'" 18+. (Photo by Susan Maljan)
