Expressions of human-machine hybridity, as well as the potential and anxiety such integrations produce, have been a part of mainstream culture since the first Industrial Revolution. The mechanization of the art-making process has been no less fraught with tension and evolution. In this exhibition, artists Elise Hanson, Dana Potter, and Jenny Harp show work that investigates technological influences on materiality, process, form, color, medium, and message. Print and digital technologies combine to reflect on the matter of human expression in a post-mechanical age.
