We can all agree that running is for chumps. But when you throw beer into the mix, it becomes a lot more tolerable. This Saturday, you have the chance to run, jog, or walk a 5K-ish fun run to 612 Brew, raising money for charity and, most importantly, having a good reason to drink before noon. Part of the Brewery Running Series, this 5K is basically an “un-race,” as it’s more about the finish-line party than it is about the finish line. There are no medals, and the event isn’t timed. But you do get a free collector’s pint glass or other swag item, along with a free beer (obviously). In addition, there will be food trucks and live music, making this a can’t-miss party for runners and cheerleaders alike. Strap on your running shoes (hopefully they’re also your drinking shoes) and prepare for a morning workout filled with casual running and 12-ounce curls. Sign up at breweryrunningseries.com. 21+.
