Fair State has been brewing big these days. While the newly announced production site near St. Paul’s Midway District will make them a big player in the local beer scene, the third annual Co-Optoberfest is all about partying in their Northeast roost. The back alley beer garden will be open on Saturday, and the modestly sized taproom will host at least 14 varieties of seasonal, flagship, and specialty pours. That includes the German-style Festbier, a few sours, the whiskey barrel-aged Brett, and the fresh hopped It’s Gold, Jerry! Oompah music and a strolling accordionist will add to the atmosphere, and Aki’s pretzels and Gerhard’s brats will be offered for eats.
