24-Hour Play Project
Many theater productions take months—even years—of preparation before the final results make the stage. For this event, creative folks will be given a mere 24 hours. That's one solid day and one solid night to write, rehearse, and, ultimately, perform their best possible work. The team effort involved is mind-boggling; more than 40 actors, directors, and playwrights will have to coordinate and collaborate to create new short plays (there will be six in total). Participants, many of whom are notable individuals in the world of theater, aren't simply given free range; plays must incorporate certain required elements, ranging from objects to emotions to lines of dialogue, which theater fans can cast their votes for now at www.theatreunbound.com. For reservations, call 612.721.1186.
