2014 Saint Paul Art Crawl
What's one of the best signs of spring? The return of the Saint Paul Art Crawl, of course. The biannual event is an excellent opportunity to see what artists have been up to during the colder months. For the next three days, over 400 studios, galleries, and pop-up spaces will be hosting a variety of events, including art shows, demonstrations, sales, performances, wine tastings, and more. The sprawling happening is concentrated in Lowertown, but participating venues can also be found along Grand Avenue, in Midway, on the West and East Sides, and all over downtown. As for the art, a little bit of everything will be represented, such as book binding and book arts in the Bindery Building; pottery, zines, and art books at the Carleton Place Lofts; and screen prints, maps, oil paintings, and jewelry at Jax. Food trucks will be roving the area during the day, and nearby bars and restaurants will be offering special deals and hosting celebrations as well.
