2012 St. Paul Craftstravaganza
This year's St. Paul Crafstravaganza promises to be bigger than ever as more than 140 vendors hit the Minnesota State Fairgrounds for a day of 100 percent handmade art. Thankfully, the space used for the super-popular annual event will be expanding as well, as the festival will be inhabiting two buildings instead of its usual one. Here, there will be lots of talented folks selling wares that fit a variety of shopping needs, be it for an upcoming baby shower (baby onesies, plushies), your friend's spring wedding (print art, home decor), or a last-minute Mother's Day gift (jewelry, soap, organic beauty products). Looking to get artsy yourself? Special activities include the chance to make jewelry that looks (and smells) like miniature food, the opportunity to contribute to the onsite yarn-bomb installation, and a talk from the owners of I Like You on selling your artsy wares to local shops.
