18th Annual Henna Party
While Jawaahir Dance Company consistently brings great Middle Eastern dance to the Midwest, this weekend is your opportunity to experience a wider rage of treats from the region. The enduring annual party (which is now in its impressive 18th year) begins with a performance from the troupe itself, followed by an open dance party where you can try out some of your own moves, or perhaps some new ones. In between dances, snack on food or have some intricate henna art added to your hands and feet. Added bonus: An ongoing raffle for the afternoon includes the chance to win free classes.
