    BEST SPORTING GOODS STORE

    Play It Again Sports
    various area locations
    (952) 888-4620
    www.playitagainsports.com

Play It Again Sports offers a vast variety of new and used sporting goods--everything from Hacky Sacks to trampolines, jump ropes to treadmills. Low prices make it an ideal source for equipment, especially if you're just starting out in a sport, or if your soccer-goalie son seems to outgrow his cleats every week. Don't want to break in a catcher's mitt? You'll find used ones for around $8 to $10. Prefer to put your own imprint on it? At $30 or $40, you can opt for a new glove. Pick up a pair of used inline skates for $20, or go for the new ones at $150. The great thing about these stores is that they're small--each area franchise is locally owned and operated--so you never feel like you're getting lost in the shuffle. (And who hasn't wandered around a giant chain store for hours trying to find a willing salesperson?) They also use the barter system, so you can bring in old equipment and trade up to something you'd prefer. And really, where else can you go to get used tennis balls or pink putters?
