We know what you're thinking: Free beer! Better yet, free Summit ale and porter! But first you've got to see how it's made, and that requires a phone call to reserve one of the 40 spots on the Saturday tour at 1 p.m. every week. For an hour, you'll move through Summit's two buildings on University Avenue, learning the history of beer, the history of Summit, and how the company's distinctive brews are created. If the actual brewing process isn't underway, you can even nose around the equipment to see how it operates. For the second hour, you are escorted back to Summit's bar area and given three tokens, each good for a 10-ounce glass of the company's Porter, Pale Ale, India Pale Ale, or, in the spring, the HazelWeizen. Root beer is the N/A alternative. Happy quaffing.
