Best Mayor Minneapolis 2014 - Betsy Hodges

R.T. Rybak is a hard act the follow. Minneapolis's first hipster mayor, Rybak flaunted his alt-weekly roots by stagediving and crowdsurfing any chance he got. But Betsy Hodges has proven up to the challenge — in one of her first official acts as mayor, she live-tweeted a screening of Die Hard at the Riverview. That's not her only Hollywood connection: One of her biggest supporters is local heartthrob Josh Hartnett (see "Best Local Boy Made Good"). Hodges emerged from a crowded field of jokesters and wannabes to win the mayoral contest, and we're glad she did. In the run-up to the election, she told us her number-one priority is job creation. We can only hope she's as successful at that as she is with one-liners on Twitter.
