Best Wine Bar Minneapolis 2013 - Kings Wine Bar
Though the conventional nibble on the side of a bold glass of red might be a wedge of manchego or some Sicilian olives, Kings Wine Bar makes a convincing case that tater tots also make for a pretty great coupling. (And if you really can't budge on the cheese thing, it should be noted that the tots come with a gorgonzola-bacon sauce for dipping.) Settle in at the bar for small plates and half or whole pours of over 20 wines by the glass (in every varietal and from all over the globe, usually heavy on the Californians) and nearly 100 by the bottle, many of them for under $30. Or you can opt for full dinner service in the stylish but casual dining room. Kings may be a wine bar, but that doesn't mean the food here takes a back seat. Lovely pâtés, pasta dishes, soup, and seafood entrees change daily, and its simple, homey desserts always hit the spot for late night. Kings recently added lunch service, so now you have one more reason to justify day drinking.
