Their name — B-52s Cover Band — isn't all that clever, but it's to the point, and besides, this B-52s cover band not only expertly tackles the output of the best LGBT- and cowbell-friendly party band to come out of Athens, Georgia, but they do it in costume, and with a dancing lobster hype man onstage. Featuring members of Hot Rash, Vag, Juvie, Mystery Date, Real Numbers, and the Sleaze, the group have their namesake's panache down to a science, and their performances at underground and legit venues alike have been high energy and infectiously danceable, as a good B-52s Cover Band should be.
