Since first appearing on film in 1954, Godzilla has stomped and roared his way through 28 films. He's a busy dude. Tall, ambitious, appreciative of Japanese culture — he's got a lot in common with Tim McKee. McKee continues to conquer the Minneapolis restaurant scene even as he diversifies. Along with Sushi Avenue and an all-star cast, he opened Masu Sushi & Robata just last year. Already it's hard to imagine a time when we couldn't play Pachinko at a moment's notice. From the gorgeously devourable sushi to the charred robata to the slurpable bowls of ramen (especially that Tonkatsu curry), Masu is the complete package.

I agree that the tonkatsu curry ramen is to die for, but also agree with the hit-or-miss comment. The first time I got the ramen it looked like the picture above, but visited again several days ago and ordered the same thing and it barely had any Chinese broccoli at all. Just tiny slivers floating around that looked like it was scrounged up from the bottom of the bag.
I like everything about what Masu is, but more often then not its hit or miss. I want it to be better, but Im glad they won.
Wow - love that a new place was able to win this award instead of the same old ones! this is a fabulous gem in Northeast! Congrats!
