We hesitate to call Kings simply a wine bar; its beer and sake lists are pretty unusual and thoughtful as well. But the wine list is truly epic. The back wall is packed with wine like a library's with books. You can order by the glass, but we recommend drinking with friends by the bottle. And while wine lists can be intimidating price-wise for some, we think you'll easily find something in your range. They have fun wines like La Playa Cabernet from Chile ($18), intriguing bottles such as Roco Pinot Noir from Oregon ($50), and even some $200 bubbly. Though the wine list is sophisticated, this Kingfield neighborhood bar isn't pretentious or overwhelming. Recent events have included a DJ tribute to Brian Eno with Jake Rudh and a regular pub quiz night.
