Let's face it: First dates are awkward. You don't know much about each other and want so badly for it to work out for once. Play it safe with a Monday date to the Loring Park Summer Music and Movies series. Music usually starts around 7 p.m., and the movie begins at dusk. Pack a picnic dinner (adorable and thoughtful) and get there early to secure a spot on the grass so you can see the screen. You'll have plenty of time to get to know each other but enough distractions to not feel stranded. When it gets dark, slip out your bottle of wine and cozy up for the movie. If the date is a disaster, you have an excuse to leave after the movie (work tomorrow!). If things go well, take a stroll through Loring Park and get home a little later. Sacrificing a good night's sleep for someone else shows your devotion.
